Discrimination
Prism provides an avenue for independent contractors to file a complaint if they believe they have been discriminated against in an employment transaction. We are here to assist you if you believe the treatment you received was because of your race, color, national origin, age, religion, sex, disability, or because of retaliation for participating and/or filing another discrimination complaint.
Sexual Harassment
Sexual harassment is unwelcome conduct of a sexual nature that is persistent or offensive and interferes with an employee's job performance or creates an intimidating, hostile or offensive work environment. Sexual harassment is defined by the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission as unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature when, for example: a) submission to such conduct is made either explicitly or implicitly a term or condition of an individual's employment, b) submission to or rejection of such conduct by an individual is used as the basis for employment decisions affecting such individual, or c) such conduct has the purpose or effect of unreasonably interfering with an individual's work performance or creating an intimidating, hostile or offensive working environment.
Sexual harassment can be physical and psychological in nature. An aggregation of incidents can constitute sexual harassment even if one of the incidents considered on its own would not be harassing.
Please Report By Contacting Human Resources or Completing a Complaint or Grievance Form.
Independent Contractor Tardy Policy
Unexcused tardiness or absences to rehearsals will result in the following action taken:
One (1) instance of tardiness: A verbal or written warning,
Two (2) instances of tardiness: A pay demotion (%5 removed from total stipend) that will be communicated to the Artist either verbally or written.
Three (3) instances of tardiness or one (1) instance of absence: Termination of this contract.
PMT and the Directors reserve the right to determine when and how these action are taken on a case by case basis. PMT defines tardiness as being over 15 minutes late to rehearsal. PMT defines a performer’s absence as missing 75% or all of a rehearsal or performance.
